Welcome to Sunny South Dallas! The southern sectors of Dallas hold some of the city's richest history, tracing back to the very beginnings of Dallas. For generations, this area has been home to vibrant communities, cherished family memories, and local treasures.
While decades of neglect have taken a toll, the spirit of South Dallas remains strong! Now, a new chapter is beginning. The revitalization of this community is a top priority for civic leaders and long-ignored infrastructure projects are finally underway. The ongoing development of the Trinity River Corridor and Harold Simmons Park—the largest privately funded public works project in U.S. history—is bringing renewed energy and investment to the area and our surrounding neighborhoods.
